This project has been approved by the Prime Minister. Therefore, Nam Cam University will be constructed in Duy Tien district and Phu Ly city, Ha Nam province.
There will be a combination of multidisciplinary higher education, scientific research and technology development establishments, which are parts of university and college network.
Nam Cao University are invested by different legal entities, which are the construction of unified planning space ensuring uniformity and modernization; exploitation of infrastructure and general utilities, at the same time being self-control in material construction and technical basis at the request of its development consisted with the construction plan of the University approved.
About the functional structure, education, scientific research and technology development establishments in universities, colleges, professional schools are planned to move a part or the whole establishments as the regulations.
High education, scientific research and technology development establishments are set up in the form of cooperative investment associated with foreign countries.
Structure of the plan includes three sessions which are area for universities, colleges and scientific research and technology development, central area (central executive, halls for residence, sports ect) and residential area.
To implement the project, budget required for site clearance, technical infrastructure is about 6,750 billion, in which the budget for constructing the university area is about 3,235 billion and 9,110 billion for constructing training and research establishments.
Planning on constructing Nam Cao University is to meet the needs of training human resources having specialised expertise with a bachelor, college, proffesional school degree and require to impove the quality of higher education for the Red River Delta and Hanoi region in the period of accelerated industrialization and modernization of the country in the period of accelerated industrialization and modernization.
Besides, contributing to adjust university and college systems for Hanoi region, Red River Delta and to move some universities and colleges from Hanoi to the planning area suitable for gathering university and college system in period 2006-2020 - planning on building university and college system in Hanoi region to 2025 with vision up to 2025./.
