The province government are interested in investing facilities and equipment towards standardization, solidification and modernization. To date, the province has more than 75% of classrooms are solidified; 274 accredited national standards schools, reached 65.3%. Most of the schools are large enough to ensure standards. Proportions of schools, which have enough functional classrooms, equipment and the administrative governance, are relatively high. 100% of schools meet the minimum equipment list; 100% of primary schools are equipped with minimum facilities and foreign language classrooms. Over 70% of schools have qualified libraries. 100% educational institutions from pre-school to high school is connected to the Internet and use the network in operating management and updating information.

Generalize education is also of particular interest of the province and has won many a proud result. Ha Nam is the first of 4 provinces in the whole country are recognized generalized primary education at the right age (July 11th 1999); 1 of the 10 provinces of the country's first standard generalized secondary education (April 1st 2002).

Besides, the quality of comprehensive education has many positive changes, marked solid progress at all educational levels. Exam results in high school graduation, university entering exam, college entering exam, national excellent student competition is always in the leading provinces nationwide. To implement the policy of human resource development to meet the requirements of integration, Ha Nam has implemented English teaching programs under the scheme in teaching and learning English language in the national education system for 100% of students in grades 3, grades 4 and 5. On the other hand, the number of management staff and teachers of the province is enough in category, structure, quality gradually improved.

Although it has achieved some results, created momentum for the implementation of fundamental innovation, comprehensive; but in 2013 there are still some shortcomings in education and training, such as comprehensive quality of education has not met requirements of society in the development stage; training and retraining of human resources with high quality to serve the socioeconomic development of the province and the region remains limited...

Determined to implement radical innovations, comprehensive education and training, Ha Nam gave specific orientations for the development of education in the future. In the period of 2013 - 2015, each commune, town has only 1 public pre-schools, 1 public primary school and 1 public secondary school; closed down 4 private high schools; merged and reorganized the regular education centers and vocational training centers into District vocational education center directly managed by the district people's committees; merged Regular education center Ha Nam province and General technical and vocational guidance center Ha Nam province managed by the Department of Education and Training. In the period of 2015 - 2020, the sector of Education and Training will stabilize the size of the preschool, public elementary school after 2015, increase investment to develop and improve the quality of public education facility; for secondary education, the small schools (less than 10 classes) can base on suitable geographical location to merge into the model of the inter-communal secondary school; each district, city has 1 high-quality secondary school, enrollment in the whole district. /.
