Result: results obtained to propose the environmental protection and management solutions towards sustainable development as well as scientific and technology solutions to exhaust gas, wastewater and solid waste treatment.
2.  Analyzing the situation, then studying and proposing the scientific, technological solutions to remediation and environmental protection of other districts in Ha Nam province.

Target: Assessing the current environmental status and changes in 5 district; Recommending and proposing scientific and technical solutions to restore and protect the environment.
Result: successfully assessing the current status of environmental elements: soil, water, climate conditions, minerals, forests, biodiversity and other components. Thereby giving the data analysis of the actual situation of the districts in the province, while providing useful solutions to environmental protection.
3.  Researching, evaluating the underground potential of Ha Nam, proposing reasonable way of utilization associated with water protection.

Target: Assessing the potential and quality of underground water in two mountainous areas Kim Bang and Thanh Liem. Assessing the current status of water utilization and proposing solutions to reasonable utilization and protection of groundwater environment in these districts.
Result: Based on the survey results on assessing the potential of underground water, to set up diagrams, maps, cross-sections, petrographic structure diagram, fracture and destruction diagrams, hydrogeological diagrams, partition map of groundwater prospects at scale of 1:50.000 illustrating the potential content of groundwater in mountainous areas of Kim Bang and Thanh Liem. Thereby proposing method of reasonable utilization associated with water protection.
4. Researching and making planning on environmental protection period 2001 - 2010 and the environmental protection plan of Ha Nam Province period 2001 - 2005

Implementation period: 2000 - 2001
Target: surveying and assessing the environmental status of Ha Nam Province; Constructing planning on environmental protection of Ha Nam Province period 2000 - 2010; Making a environmental protection plan for Ha Nam province from 2000 to 2005.
Result: Environmental protection planning of Ha Nam province period 2000 - 2010 which includes following content: urban environmental protection and concentrated residential areas in Phu Ly town, district-level towns,  traditional craft villages, industrial and tourism-commercial areas, and environmental protection in some fields such as transport and health care. At the same time, planning on biodiversity protection, environmental incidents prevention and education to raise environmental awareness.
On the basis of the contents set out in the environmental protection planning, to carry out constructing projects on environmental protection which should be prioritized in the period 2001 - 2005 such as the project of waste collection and treatment, sanitation management of industrial zones ...
5. Investigating and assessing the planning  on agricultural land use of Ha Nam province by 2010

Target: Investigating and assessing the status of agricultural land; Making map of agricultural land; Planning on agriculture land use towards commodity production by 2010.
Result:
On land resource classification and assessment: completing the data related to soil analysis of layers; Number of agricultural land by groups; Soil fertility; land assessment.
On mapping: Evaluating the current situation of agricultural land resources, proposing the land-adapting level for each group of plants and building maps for each district.
On agricultural land use planning by 2010: Providing specific solutions regarding to land use, which helps to develop strategy for using agricultural land in the province.
On environment:
1. Efficient solutions and operating model of Rural Unions and Associations in advocating teenagers implementing clean water - sanitation

Target: disseminating basic knowledge about ‘Clean water and sanitation’ for Union and Associations officials, members of volunteer team, the propagators; Mobilizing the entire people to do ‘Clean water and sanitation’, creating public opinion in order to raise awareness for youth and people about iit.
Result: Establishing the Youth Volunteer Team and Young propaganda team; Training for 400 Union and Associations Officials, and members of volunteer teams two communes Xuan Khe - Ly Nhan, Dong Hoa - Kim Bang. Thus, households in these two communes have had significant results in the implementation of NS-sanitation.
2. Surveying to assess the status of domestic waste in urban households and modeling domestic waste pretreatment system to ensure environmental hygiene

Target: Investigating, surveying and assessing the status of domestic waste in urban households, from which generally assessing the status of waste in households currently; Building a model of preliminary handling household waste in urban households, ensuring environmental sanitation
Result:  Surveying, assessing the origin and status of household waste in 4 wards in town; Choosing 2C resident group of Minh Khai Ward for modeling; choosing way of a mixing of EM products suitable for preliminary treatment of domestic waste in every household, ensuring environmental hygiene. Based on the achievements, drawing experience and proposing measures to maintain and expand the model, contributing to urban sanitation.
